cool, thank you. again, like I said, I'm
just getting into higher end digital photography, so this all is fairly new to me, UV filters, etc.
Are filters primarily for high-end lenses, for which you want to extend/protect life, or to keep dust off, or both?
btw the kit less is IS, as well, although I have no doubt it's Canon's entry level lens...
