My suggestion is to pick a different photo. Honestly, it's kind of a boring photo anyways and it's not something that really requires HDR.

For example:



This photo required flash or HDR to make it work. The sun was very bright and I'm sure the boat had huge shadows. Plus it's an interesting picture.




This is other thing HDR is good for, bringing out deep texture in skies.



It's hard to find good places to use HDR at first, keep looking. Sunsets and sunrises can be great.
