| They can be, but as noted they come with cheap lenses. I bought mine from Costco as it was cheaper than I could find anywhere else, and for the same money it had the double lens kit. Sure, its cheap glass, but its better than nothing, besides I wanted some lenses I wouldn't be afraid to kick around while backpacking/skiing/etc.
