New to photography and don't really understand a damn thing

Can someone help? I bought the wife a Sony @100 last year and have yet to figure the damn thing out. I'm good with the auto features...haha but after that I can't figure out how to adjust anything. Not that I would know what I was doing if I could figure it out.

Put the manual in the shitter so everytime you take a growler your reading up on your camera
