My wife rocks

I have been dropping hints like crazy the past few months that I wanted a DSLR for my birthday, and this afternoon my wife came home with this:

Nikon D80 Kit and an awesome 70-300 VR lens. I'm really excited to finally graduate from my little point and shoot to a big boy camera....

So, 24 hours in, I have been able to turn it on and take 42 really bad photos. I'm having fun experimenting with aperture, shutter speed and ISO though.

Good pictures are going to take practice...

Congratulations! My husband did the same thing for me. Nikon D80 and a Nikkor 55-200. I would have to say we are both very lucky people. This is actually my first post on this forum so with that I will say congratulations and have fun with it!
