What do I need to set up a studio

Where is a good place to buy lighting. I am wanting to set up a studio and am not sure about lighting or what I need. I have worked in fast food photography as I call it so never had to set anything up. Just had to point and shoot. (K-mart Portraits before digital and after, Expressly Portraits and Sears.) I love taking pictures but hate working for companies like this and would like to set up my own space. Just not sure what I would need or where to buy the items. Have done some looking on the internet but would like to hear from others who have experience in the field.

Any ideas or help would be welcomed.

Go to Glazers, find out what you need and or want.
You can bye it all there, or save money after you know what you want and get it online.
