My Camera: Nikon D60 & D300S

Kerry Park 3-9-09 Pictures

I know all of you have seen this view 1,000,000,000 times, but I had never been there before if you can beleive that and I wanted a good place to test out my 2 new lenses

C&C always welcome

the 2 new lenses I used are:

Sigma DC 18-50 mm 1:2.8 EX Macro HSM
Nikon ED AF-S VR Nikkor 70-200 1:2.8G

I love shooting with both of them...the 70-200 creates such crisp photos its unreal...I have never shot with any lens but the kit lens until these and wow...it makes such a difference in everything..and its so FAST!!

you can tell which lens I was using by the focal length..anything under 50 was the sigma and anything over 70 was the Nikon..

Exposure time: 3s
Aperture: F8
ISO: 200
Focal Length: 40mm

Exposure time: 25s
Aperture: F18
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 160mm

This is a crop of the photo above...I cant believe the quality of this lens!!!

Exposure time: 15s
Aperture: F18
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 95mm

Exposure time: 25s
Aperture: F18
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 86mm

Exposure time: 20s
Aperture: F20
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 130mm

Exposure time: 20s
Aperture: F20
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 86mm

It is really cool for me to see how my image quality and composure have really gone up..I know I still have a lot to learn, but I love doing this so much. I thank anyone on here who has ever taught me something new. and I look forward to the day when I can teach someone ese something new.

and of course Daniel (Beans), I cant thank you enough for creating these awesome forums for us all to share our photos on.

Very cool Nathan! Always going to get those star trail, looking lights with the long exposure. I wonder what 400 ISO with in camera noise reduction, i wonder how long those exposures would have been?

I still havent been up there... But im shooting seattle, the locks, and the olympics tonight from a unique shooting location... I'll post a few after I'm back.
