Thank you Darren! I had seen photos like this from other studios and wanted to try getting a shot of my condensor mic. This week I'm using Aperture Priority and playing with the different settings. It's fun to adjust the different settings to get the background out of focus and the subject nice a crisp. It's amazing how good the photos look at full size. I'm having a blast!

Great photos! I didnt know keninseattle had a D300 - woot!

I finally took some photos today on my trip so I can play too this week.

Turk - I'm only seeing red x's.

Thanks Beans! Just got it on the 17th. I'm have a blast with it!! I only have a nifty fifty lens so far (Nikkor 50mm 1.8d AF) but will get my dream lens in a month or two.
