I thought about this assignment for a couple of days and thought of just taking a pic of the outside of my condo unit but then figured that's only where I lay my head. To me home is so much more. Not my home town but my current home. I own a business here, I'm involved in the music industry, pnwriders community, pnwdp community, volunteer work for the Vera Project and other non profs and this is where friends and family is. Seattle is my home. This shot was at 20 seconds at f22. ISO 200. Last edited by keninseattle; 07-31-2008 at 05:47 AM.. |

Click on that and it will default to the 1200x800 size that I uploaded. That's the size that I upload to flickr. I compress them for the web as the original is 15Mb. I don't have a pro account so I'm limited to 100 mb per month. |

I've seen those types of shots in the past and have always wanted to learn how to do the long exposure shots. I had a blast taking them last night. I may go back tonight to shoot some more. |

Were you on soft ground? Did you move away from the camera during the exposure? I've ruined a few long exposure shots by moving away from the camera. The ground was soft and it unfortunately picked up the small vibrations of my footsteps. |
