What most/least favorite subjects?

It seems like things have been a little slow here this week. But anyway, what are your favorite subjects and least favorite subjects?

I love nature, almost anything that involves being outside. Animals, birds, mountains. deserts.

I hate portraits, I completely suck at taking pictures of people.

My first post!

My most/least favorite subject is the same thing.
Shooting bands.

I love doing it, but the low light is always frustrating for me because I don't like to use flash if possible. I'm happy when there are decent stage lights.. but I go to shows mostly in dive bars/clubs where the light is dim.
I can't afford to buy the lenses that I need for this, so I make due with what I have. I do get lucky most of the time so it isn't ALL bad.

Sure, I would LOVE one of those! Let me play the lotto.
I have a Canon EF 85mm f1.8, but the shows I go to I can't get far enough away to take decent pictures. I'm still trying.

Yes! I have definitely thought about doing that and maybe I will. I would be really nervous carrying around an expensive lens that wasn't mine in some of the places I go to but it's a possibility.

Hi Bridget! Great to see you on here!! About renting lenses, I went down to Glazer's and tried to rent a 70-200 2.8 VR to use at the Motorcycle races yesterday at PR and they wanted a $3000 credit card deposit in order to rent it. I only had $2200 open on my cc account and they said no. Not sure if they require that much for other lenses or not.

Oh, and to answer the topic question. I'd have to say my favorite is outdoors/scenery type of stuff and motorcycles. Either at Bike Nights for PNWR or racing. My least favorite, hmmm, I'll shoot anything/anybody that looks interesting and will let me practice on them. I didn't think I'd ever enjoy doing portrait type of shots but had a blast doing the first senior photo session. Not sure I have anything that I don't like to take photos of.

I love taking pics of anything with an engine. I'm not much of a scenery type person.

That's ridiculous, considering that lens "only" costs $1600.

I haven't ever personally used this site, but you can rent lenses from LensRentals.com - Rent Canon, Nikon, or Sony Lenses and Cameras. Here's a link to the lens that you looked in to renting from Glazers. LensRentals.com - Rent a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 AF-S VR

Looking forward to the report. But more importantly, looking forward to your shots. I've told quite a few of the vendors in E Wa that I work with about you. Told them we may have another Wedding Photog to reccomend to folks.

D, that's the best landscape shot I've seen you take but I think you should crop it a little differently....

I can't tell exactly how I would crop it, just looks a bit off for some reason. Hmmm...

maybe you think its too cropped. I zoomed for this shot since the sailboat crossed right where I wanted. I have some pulled back much further?

oh, and thanks
