Very nice work! I really like them.

I want to get into portrait photography, but I don't exactly know how to. I'm sure most of you have seen some of my attempts with my lack of equipment. lol. I just don't know how to start.

I think the compositions are ok but the focus points are weird, focus on the eyes. Also how did you do the processing? It looks a little wonky. Some of the edges are too sharp but blotches in her skin are still there.

She had a bruise unfortunately. A pretty good sized one! A little wonky.....hmm...dont really understand that?

The last photo was heavily center weighted on her lips. A few were shot like this.

I dont think you have bad equipment or bad shots. Start with family.

Thanks, I appreciate it. And the only bad part is, since I'm stationed up here, all my family is down in Texas. Haha. But I have a few people I can use. It's just a matter of finding time with my current schedule. But things should be looking up when I get back from sea. So, hopefully this coming summer will be quite eventful.
