WMRRA Round 3 Recap from Spokane!

Brad Delong, no longer the kid, running in the top 5 on his 600SS, elbows on the ground pushing hard out of the final turn!

Teaching lil mario to do clutchless 11 o'clock wheelies on my pitbike leads to a few fun photos.

Sunday was a great day for racing. Cooler than expected, but still better than Friday or Saturday. Andy Brackett in practice Sunday.

Ross was quick all weekend. Working with students on Friday, riding with his youngest son for the first time on track. That was a treat to see.

Ross leavin the "boys" behind, putting down some fast times.

Mike M had a rough weekend with the Redline Motorsports BMW, leading him to ride the CBR1000 for the remainder of the weekend. Placing well on borrowed machinery. Dan Chancy had a great weekend, with a podium sunday.

Mario had a rough start to the wmrra weekend, but calmed a bit, and went even faster. Mario won by a long shot against the bigger bikes on his Kirk Potter RS125.

Coming from Portland, Devon McDonough learned the track saturday, and placed top 3 sunday, fighting every lap with Tim Weig. These two were having a great battle that lead to the line.

What its all about at the end of the day; Devon and Tim talk about their battle.

How many bikes at 80+mph can we fit into this turn?

Ryan, thanks for the support this weekend!

Clay and Valley trying to keep the power to the ground with Allister in persuit!

Ryan "chromie" Sutton, the best starter in the entire club, leads formula ultra out of Turn 7. Ryan takes a peek over and sees Edwards and MacConaghy wanting to squeeze through for turn 8.

"I've been working really hard at this, and its finally paying off, riding up front with Eli, Ross, and Mike, its been an awesome weekend, and i was pushing as hard as this rear tire would let me, I probably saved 3 highsides in the first lap, but I was goin'," Ryan later said.

Heres one of those highsides, exiting turn 7, I captured Ryans rear shock at full compression, and the tire's just broken loose, right after this photo Ryan was a bit off the seat, but saved it as usual. Great control there. Ryan, thanks for your support this weekend.

Nick Finken pushes his new R6 at Spokane, but says "Lippis is too fast for me still, he even waved as he passed me" as he chuckled.

Tim enjoying the memorial day weekend

The weekend belonged to Eli Edwards in the end. Winning all 4 races, and setting a new lap record. "Its been a great weekend, 4 wins... consistent lap times, couldnt have asked for much more"

Eli starting to edge away from Ross, who ran a lonely race in second place. Gapping MacConaghy and Chancy who were battling back and forth.

"Its nothin' compared to Miller, but its still a blast to be out here." Evans Tomassini

Great WMRRA weekend.
